Conflict Mineral Policy
Lasko will support any policies that restrict and/or eliminate the use of any export of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold from conflict-affected mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and its neighboring countries with identified presence of armed conflict, widespread violence or other human risks, also known as “Conflict Minerals”.
Lasko Products does not directly source these minerals but we recognize that these minerals may, in very small quantities, be present in the manufacturing of our products thus, we are committed to ensuring that our supply chain will be “conflict-free”.
At this time, our suppliers cannot provide detailed information as to the ultimate source of these minerals because of the complexities of the metal supply chain. The mining of these minerals and its smelting process takes place long before a final product is assembled, making it difficult, if not impossible, to trace the minerals origins. This is a complex challenge we cannot address alone.
Lasko Products will continue to work with our suppliers to enable responsible sourcing of these minerals. We are building internal processes to regularly perform due diligence and survey our suppliers to verify compliance. Some of these processes will incorporate supplier contracts and agreements to comply with Lasko Products Conflict Mineral Policy wherein it involves suspension or discontinue engagement with suppliers where Lasko Products identifies that these requirements are not being met.
