Can you put shampoo, conditioner, or lotion in the unit?
No. We recommend using soaps and sanitizers only.
Do you have to use a specific brand of soap or sanitizer for this unit?
No. Gels and liquid soaps and sanitizers can be used with this model.
Can I use foaming products in this dispenser?
No. In the SD410 you can only use liquid and gel soaps.
How do I program the unit for liquids vs gels?
Press the power button once for a low volume and twice for high. Low volume mode is suggested for thinner solutions such as standard liquid soaps and sanitizers. High volume mode is suggested for thicker solutions such as gel soaps and sanitizers.
How do you clean the dispenser?
Use a damp cloth to regularly clean the nozzle if there is a build up of soap or sanitizer. You can also clean the sensor with a damp cloth.
How do I turn it off?
Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds, the light will turn to red and briefly flash.
How do I know when to change the batteries?
A red LED light will flash when the battery is low. The unit will not turn on when the battery is too low.
What type of batteries does this dispenser require?
4 AA batteries.
Can it be mounted to a wall?
No but the PureGuardian model SD495 can be mounted to the wall and comes with the parts to do so.
Does this have a warranty?
